Help for parents

Parent coach in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali

Maybe it's daily tantrums, a child who hits, school mornings that end in tears, or simply a feeling that you and your child keep getting stuck. Parent coaching gives you a calm, practical space to understand what's happening and decide what to try next. Loveena Marya works with families across Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, and online with parents anywhere.

What is parent coaching?

Parent coaching is practical, forward-looking support for parents. Together you look at what is happening at home, understand what your child's behaviour might be communicating, and build a plan that fits your family, your routines and your values.

It is not about being told you are doing it wrong. Parents are partners in this work. You know your child better than anyone; a coach helps you see patterns, try new approaches and stay consistent while things change.

How coaching differs from therapy or counselling

Therapy and counselling are clinical services offered by qualified mental health professionals. They are the right choice when a child or parent needs assessment, diagnosis or treatment for emotional, developmental or mental health concerns.

Parent coaching is different. It focuses on everyday parenting challenges and the practical skills to handle them. Loveena is a coach, not a clinician, and she does not diagnose. If something you share suggests that a paediatrician or child psychologist would be the right next step, she will tell you honestly.

Who parent coaching helps

Coaching suits parents of young children who want to respond with more calm and confidence. Families often reach out about:

  • 1Frequent tantrums and meltdowns in toddlers and preschoolers
  • 2Hitting, biting, pushing or aggression with siblings or at school
  • 3Anger, worry, sensitivity and big feelings
  • 4Stressful routines around school mornings, homework, screens or bedtime
  • 5Parenting differences between partners or with grandparents at home
  • 6Simply wanting to feel less reactive and more connected with your child

How sessions work

Everything starts with a free 20-minute discovery call. If you both feel it's a good fit, you move into one-to-one coaching sessions of 60 minutes each.

  • 1Online on Google Meet, from anywhere in India or worldwide
  • 2In person in Panchkula, convenient for families in Chandigarh and Mohali
  • 3Each session focuses on your real situations from the past week
  • 4You leave with a few clear, doable steps to try at home
  • 5Later sessions review what worked and adjust the plan

What to expect in the free discovery call

The discovery call is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. You'll share what's been happening, what you have already tried and what you'd like to feel differently. Loveena will listen, ask a few questions and give you a sense of how coaching could help.

There is no obligation to continue. Some parents leave the call with enough clarity to try something new on their own, and that is a good outcome too.

About Loveena Marya

Loveena is a parent coach and child behaviour guide based in Panchkula. She holds an M.A. in English and a B.Ed, and has more than ten years of teaching experience in CBSE and ICSE schools. She is certified in parenting and child rearing, and she is a mother herself.

Her approach rests on a few simple beliefs: behaviour is communication, structure works best with warmth, and parents are partners. As she puts it, children don't act out, they act up, and it's up to us to meet them where they are.

Questions parents ask

Is parent coaching the same as counselling?

No. Counselling and therapy are clinical services for assessment and treatment. Parent coaching is practical support for everyday parenting challenges, and Loveena will suggest a paediatrician or child psychologist if that would serve your family better.

Do you see children directly?

The work is mainly with parents, because you are the person with your child every day. Whether and how your child might be involved can be discussed during the free discovery call.

Are sessions available online outside Tricity?

Yes. Sessions run on Google Meet, so parents across India and worldwide can work with Loveena. In-person sessions are available in Panchkula.

How long is a coaching session?

Each one-to-one coaching session lasts 60 minutes. The first step is always a free 20-minute discovery call.

What ages of children do you work with?

Loveena mostly supports parents of young children, from toddlers through the early school years. If your child is older, mention it on the discovery call and she will tell you honestly whether coaching is a good fit.
